A figure says nothing on its own
If one quote is lower, first check that both cover the same thing. Usually the gap is one item included in one and excluded in the other.
Included almost everywhere: vehicle and driver, medical staff, fuel, collection from the room and handover, basic supervision on the way.
| Varies | Ask |
|---|---|
| Waiting | Is there a free period? How is the rest charged? |
| Return leg | One price or two? |
| Extra staff | Surcharge for upper floors without a lift? |
| Tolls | Included on out-of-province journeys? |
| Night and holidays | Is a different rate applied? |
| Equipment | Do oxygen or monitoring change the price? |
Compare totals, not headline figures. A quote is only as accurate as the information you give: both addresses with floor, lift, approximate weight, equipment, waiting and return, date and time. Ask for it in writing. See if a transfer is cancelled or postponed.
