The airport
Tekirdağ Çorlu Atatürk Airport lies outside the town centre and is operated by DHMİ. Scheduled services are limited; it is also used by air ambulances and private flights.
What we need
Flight date, time and number; type of flight (scheduled, private or air ambulance); whether the patient travels seated or on a stretcher; equipment in use; the address at the other end; and the companion’s contact.
On scheduled flights the patient leaves the terminal with ground staff and the ambulance waits outside. For stretcher passengers and air ambulances the vehicle may need to go airside, which requires the airport operator’s permission applied for in advance — so we need flight details a day or two ahead.
When there is no scheduled service, Istanbul’s airports are used and the road leg is part of the plan: Çorlu – Istanbul. See also international patient transfer.
